Find the puppy!!

Its a game like Where's Waldo!! My dog loves to be under the covers and wrapped up in many blankets. I bet she would have been harder to spot if her eyes weren't glowing!!

My new "niece"

Meet Minnie she is Travis and Theresa's new puppy. Or my new niece has Theresa calls her. She is just a baby about 13 weeks old and little snuggler when she wants to be and a little biting terror at other times. Isn't she sweet looking? Yep looks can be decieving! She is very sweet and loveable until the teeth come out!! She loves to lick the kids all over, yep that's because kids are sticky and taste good.

And the rain rain rain came down down down....

Day #....wait its been raining for so long that I don't remember when it started. I do love the rain, but I'm starting to feel like Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day!!! It has just started raining again and there are reports that we could get 8 inches today! I may need a boat to get home after work.

Shopping in the rain!

I went shopping in the rain yesterday. This is the view from my parking spot at the mall. We parked up by Target and had to walk all the way down to the other end of the mall. At least the spot was at the front of a row! I got smart later on in the day and had jeremy drive me to the outlets and drop me off at stores. The plan was for him to circle the parking lot while I was shopping but the outlets were pretty empty by the time we got there. Out shopping again today and hoping to be done soon!

Happy 5th Birthday!!!

Today is Brett and Evanns 5th birthday!!!! Its hard to believe that these 2 are already 5 years old!! This picture if from their birthday last year when I bought them shirts that said "I'm the Nightmare they warned you about". Aren't they cute????

I found this Ghostbusters 2 set at toys r us. The price $64.99!!! That's a lot of money for 4 dolls!!

Sugar cookies!!

We did sugar cookies yesterday and this one is my favorite. I got bored with adding sprinkles so I used glitter gel. And then I ate it!!!

Happy 9th Birthday Travis!!!

Travis turned 9 years old today!!! This was taken at his birthday party on Saturday. He got tons of presents, $60 and another $40 in gift certificates to toys r us!! I have some more pictures to post later. Its late and I need to get to bed.

This is just wrong!

At toys r us tonight I found this doll. Its a change my diaper baby and its anatomically correct! I was going to get one for Theresa until I started checking it out and saw things that should not be on a doll and they did not have any girl ones left! I even had 3 employees trying to find me a girl one, they did have 3 boy ones left. I would not buy that for a 6 year old!

Seriously??

Hugglies?? How many different names can they come up with for a blanket with arm holes (or a backwars robe as I call them). Anyway I found these ugly hugglies at burlington coat factory last night. Yep I was out shopping which is why I didn't post a picture yesterday. Travis has a big birthday party this weekend and I needed to finish getting his present.

Happy Anniversary and coffee!!!

Today is our 8 year anniversary. I should post a wedding picture but I don't own a scanner so I can't put the pictures into the computer. Yep we got married right before digital cameras were popular. In fact we got a digital camera as a wedding present as well as a regular camera and neither one of them work now!

To celebrate I had a peppermint mocha from starbucks today. Jeremy is at work tonight, so we went to dinner over the weekend. Now I'm going to watch a movie and go to bed.

What I want for Christmas!

I really want a new camera. I want the new canon txi2 I think is the proper name but I like the price on this one. Actually the price for this was is from black friday but it is much cheaper than the other camera. Anyone want to chip in money so I can buy a new camera?

Cousin It???

One very cute picture from visiting my cute cousins last weekend. Almost forgot to post a picture today!! My goal is to post one picture every day this month, just to see if I can remember to do it!!

We got some of our Christmas lights up today. I was working on them by myself when I noticed that one of the lights was out and I while I was trying to pull it out the light broke and cut my thumb open. I ran inside where Jeremy and my dad were installing the new garbage disposal (Yes it is finally in!! No more backed up sink!!) and ran into the bathroom to wash the blood away and make sure there was nothing in the cut. Jeremy put 3 bandaids on it and I bleed through them. It has stopped bleeding but is pretty painful. So I only got part of our lights up and then found out a lot of our old lights don't work and so I get to figure out how to finish them this week. Yep what a fun day.

Emily isn't going to be happy about this post. She put on a Chip or Dale hat (I never know which one is which) and didn't expect me to take a picture! Haha! I took it and I'm posting it for everyone to see. Oh yeah and yes of course this was taken at Disneyland.

Picture of the day!

A few weeks ago Jeremy and I went down to Disneyland for the afternoon since it was raining and we had nothing else to do. Anyway on the drive down there we were on the 5 stuck in traffic when I looked over and saw this Los Angeles County Zombie Control car. I thought wait did that say what I thought it said. Of course I had to get a picture of it, this is the best one I was able to get. Who paints their car funky camoflague and puts Zombie Control on the window? Someone must have seen Zombieland once to many times! (which by the way if you like silly zombie movies, that is a must see at least one time movie)

Decemeber is here!

I love December! My anniversary is on the 7th, Travis turns 9 on the 12th, the twins turn 5 on the 17th and even after all that there is still Christmas to look forward to!

I was going through my phone yesterday and found a bunch of funny pictures so I thought I would try and post one every day this month. This picture of Travis is one of my favorites! I should have saved it for his birthday but I couldn't. This was taken on his birthday last year when I took him to Disneyland in the pouring rain! We had a great time though because it was empty!

Where did November go?

Wow I knew it was almost Thanksgiving but I didn't think it was this week! Where did November go? I have been super busy and not really paying attention to what day it is. I have some pictures to post but they are still on my camera. Jeremy is out buying a new garbage disposal right now since ours is done. It hasn't worked right in months and now we have to plunge the sink just to get it to drain. I think he is planning on installing it himself.....I hope he knows what he is doing!

Trick or Treating

Travis was a doctor this year. He might have been a crazy doctor though with the crazy knife he was carrying.

Theresa was a fairy princess. She was verysparkly and happy. She kept running from house to house so she could get as much candy as possible.

Travis, Theresa and our friend's little boy Tyler. As soon as we were done trick or treating the immediatley wanted to eat all of the candy. Travis was nice and gave me his bytterfingers because he doesn't like them.

Cracked!

Over the weekend my windshield was hit by a rock and now it has a nice big crack in it. It seems to be getting bigger with the heat we are having but it could just be my imagination. I'm just annoyed by the whole thing.

Did you carve your pumpkins yet???

I have carved 3 pumpkins so far today and I have one more to go. Hopefully I will get it done tomorrow but I am worn out after doing 3 of them!!
I bought 2 pumpkins for us and I just finished the first one.I made the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man from GhostBusters! The small parts were a pain in the butt to do! The other one I am doing is The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, the new live action movie, yes its Johnny Depp's face, its not going to be very easy to do and I am to tired to try and work on it tonight. This is Travis's pumpkin. He chose the pattern and he even cleaned out must of the pumpkin himself. I can't wait until he is old enough to carve the pumpkin himself!!

This is Theresa's pumpkin. She had to have a skull and crossbones like her brother but chose the girl one. She tried to help clean it out. She did a pretty good job but wasn't able to get all the guts out.

Tomorrow night is trick or treating time. I will hopefully remember to take my camera and get some good pictures of the kids and their candy. Travis promised me some of his butterfingers because he doesn't like them.

Pumpkin carving!

I am trying to plan out how I'm going to carve my pumpkin this year. I really like this one but I think it may be a bit to much for me considering the fact that halloween is this weekend!

I did have a pumpkin at home waiting for me to cut it open and I noticed this morning the top by the stem is squishy! It must have broken when it was picked up and now it is uncarvable. So now I have to go get a new pumpkin.

New Flavor Of Nyquil!!!!!

On Thursday I had a sore throat and a runny nose. I thought it was allergies, but by Friday I was feeling pretty yucky. In fact we ended up closing early for the day and I went home and laid on the couch all night. I didn't want to eat or drink anything and felt horrible. Jeremy had to go to work that night but he set up the humidifier for me and I laid in bed and breathed in all the lovely vapor filled air and was hoping I would fill better the next morning. Nu luck I woke up Saturday still congested and was running a fever. I stayed in bed for a long time and ended up getting up so we could run to Target to get Nyquil and toilet paper. You may ask why not just send Jeremy by himself, well he likes to look at all the stuff and when I send him by himself he comes back with things I did not ask for and always spends way more than what was allowed. So I went with him to the Nyquil asile where we were surprised to find a new flavor! It's vanilla cherry swirl, of course we had to try it since I can't stand the nasty green flavor.

So with my prized Nyquil in hand we grabbed the much needed toilet paper and off we went, next stop was to get something for dinner since he had to go to work early that night and I was not in the mood to cook. I really wanted pizza, don't know why I wanted pizza with being as sick as I was, but pizza sounded really good. So we went to Dominos since they have the special of a medium pizza with 2 toppings for $5.55 or some low price like that. Jeremy went in to order the food and I sat in the car, starting to feel even worse at this point. I really wanted to be home already but I didn't want to pay a tip to the pizza delivery person so we waitied for 20 minutes to get our pizza and home we went.

After I ate I decided it was time to tr the new nyquil. While it still had a bad taste I could handle it much better than the green one. I took a normal dose and waited for it to work. I was ready to go to sleep at 7pm but knew if I did I would be wide awake at 3am. So I forced myself to stay awake until about 10pm or so and then went to bed and guess what happened then.....I was wide awake at 3am!!!!! It took me 2 hours and another shot of nyquil to go back to sleep. I guess this new flavor did not work at that great compared to the original nyquil that you have to get from behind the counter and have to have your id scanned to get, at least with that one if I wake up I can fall back asleep pretty quickly, not 2 hours later!!!

So I guess my leasoned learned is that you need to stick with the good nyquil and just because they have new flavors that may taste better it does not have the same ingreidents that make you feel nice and loopy. That reminds me we also saw that nyquil makes an alcohol free formula now. Isn't that why we take nyquil for the alcohol content??

I leanred today that Jeff Dunham and his amazing puppets will be at the Rabobank convention center in lovely Bakersfield on January 30th. Tickets go on sale tomorrow and look like they aren't going to be that cheap. I really want to go see him but it may have to wait until the next time he will be playing somewhere close. Unless by some miracle the tickets are cheap and aren't sold out by the time I look for some.

Dark stormy weather

We had lots of thunder and lighning last night from these dark clouds. We even had some hail. Did I get any pictures of that....NO we were on the oppisite end of town visiting my cousin Mark since he was in town to do the plumbing on the old house that I grew up in. It got really windy and cloudy and we heard lots of thunder and then we had a few big ldrops of rain and then it was silent. It was really weird! Once we got home we got some more rain and thunder. Today we are expecting some scattered thunderstorms. I actually brought my camera to work with me in case we get some more weird weather!

A Day at Disneyland......again

In September we meet the twins and their mom and grandma at Disneyland for the a day. Of course it was the day after the hottest day of the year there and it was still hot when we were there. My pictures have posted backwards but at least they are up! It is Halloween time at Disneyland and they normally put up a lot of decorations. These "pumpkins" are up above the main entrance.



Ok I posted this and then I noticed that all of the text is at the bottom of the pictures. It was supposed to be with each picture. I am to tired to fix it now but I am sure you can figure out which text goes to which picture!!
Here is Jeremy and the boys waiting for the tram at the end of the day. It was still pretty hot at this time even it was dark and after 8pm.

We noticed earlier in the day that We We noticed earlier in the day that both Jeremy and Brett were dressed the same. The both had on red shirts, navy shorts white socks, black shoes and black hats. We called Brett "mini me: which made him made later in the day when he was tired, he said "I'm not mini me, I'm Brett" which of course made us all laugh.

We each took a boy on the Teacups, I had Evan with me and I thought we were spinning pretty fast but as it turns out we were not going as fast as Jeremy and Brett.

The boys wanted to take a picture making a scary face in honor of Halloween. I'm not sure what happened to Evan's scary face, he looks bored here! We had a really good time even with the heat. Mychele and I took the boys on Splash Mountain for the first time. When we got off Brett said he liked it and I told him he needed to tell his Daddy all about it. He said his Daddy wouldn't like that ride, it would make him scream like a girl!! We also took them on the water ride at California Adventure which they both loved and of course wanted to keep going on it. We can't wait until the next time we get to go to Disneyland with them. Hopefully they will be tall enough to go the Indiana Jones ride. I think it is the only ride at Disneyland that they haven't been on yet.

I want a taktoo.......

First my brother in law was able to fix my computer today!! Yeah at least I don't have to go buy a new one!!! I was going through the pictures on it and I found these pictures from August that I never shared. When we went to the fair we came across a booth that sells stamps and ink that are for your body. Jen bought some of them and we went home and had a "taktoo" party as Evan called the tattoos. For some reason blogger is being weird and is posting my pictures without a break between them. The top picture is all 4 kids. Brett thought he was being funny and kept making odd faces so I took the picture anyway.

The below pictures are the kids fake tattoos. They had fun picking out the ones that they wanted and wanted to put them on themselves, but nope the adults had to do the stamp and the coloring in. Theresa had a butterfly but her picture has disappeared from this post somehow. I am not sure what is going on with this! Oh well I will have to play with it before my next post, its late and I am tired and cranky tonight and really need to go to bed.

Computers and :Haircuts.

My hair was driving my nuts last night. It was way past due for a trim. We are on a really tight budget these next few weeks and so I really didn't want to put out the money to get one. Well we went to Great Clips where is it $15 for a haircut. I got right in and was done in less that 15 minutes. They guy who cut my hair then decided it took so little time to do my hair that he only charged me $6!!!!! So with a tip I only paid $10!!!

We are now having an issue with my computer. We had bought me a netbook after Christmas last year and now it has some virus and I can't do anything with it. I am hoping that we can fix it ourselves and that it is fixable. I really don't want to be without my computer and I don't want to buy a new one. I was able to download mt camera to the computer but I can't do anything else!!

Movie Review

I forgot we rented 2 movies 2 weekends ago!! First we watched the new Robin Hood, which was good but long and boring in some spots. They really could have cut out a lot of the dialogue that was not needed to keep the story going.

The second movie was Letters To Juliette which was very good. It was a happy movie that just made you feel good.

Weird Weather

Yesterday morning we had some rain or really heavy misting fog, anyway the ground was all went so it could have been either one. Today they are calling for rain from later today through Thursday morning. Maybe even some scatter thunderstorms!! I am ready for the rain. I found my sweaters to wear to work so I don't freeze all day. I have a heavy blanket on my bed so I can stay warm all night. I didn't wash my car this weekend hoping that the rain will do it for me. Jeremy is off the next 2 nights so I don't have to worry about him driving around all night in the rain. The only problem we are going to have is the dog. She does not like the water and since it hasnt rained in a while she may not even remember what it is.

I am hoping this week to be able to pull out some of my halloween decorations. I am ready for fall and winter to get here!!! I was trying to dress Jeremy up as a Hooters girl for Halloween this year but it looks like he will be working that night so he won't be able to go Trick or Treating with us. I guess I will save the Hooters girl idea for next year.

October starts tomorrow???

How is it possible that tomorrow is October 1st?? We had a great time at Disneyland. It was hot and humid but we still had fun playing with the boys. I didn't take that many pictures though. My camera told me my memory card was full so I had to delete some of the bad pictures. I am going to download it in the next few days and will post the cute pictures I took.

Who broke the outside ac??

I just read this on weather.com. Its freaking 98 outside in Ventura! 98 when was the last time it was 98 here???? Good thing I am at work today with the air conditioning on! But the bright side is tomorrow its only supposed to be 76. To bad I will be at Disneyland with Brett and Evan all day, its only going to be 91 there tomorrow.

Must be a Wednesday thing

Last Wednesday I saw a dancing banana on my way to work. This morning I saw another one! I was able to read his sign this morning and he is advertising $1.00 oatmeal at Jamba Juice. Poor guy I wouldn't want dancing banana on my resume.

The nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever so you can rest medicine.

The truth is Nyquil sucks unless you by the behind the counter one with all the good drugs in it. I have a cold or something yucky. I have been running a fever and coughing and all of that fun stuff. After a few days of having a fever we decided that I needed to go a doctor. Wednesday night we went to urgent care and i was given some antibiotics and the really really good cough medicine, the kind with codeine in it, to help me sleep through the night without coughing. The bad thing is when i wake up in the morning I start coughing again. I can't take the stuff while I am work since I kind of need to be awake while I am here. I am feeling a little better today and may even try to go have some fun tomorrow. Oh wait maybe not tomorrow, I get to see the foot doctor at 4 today and possibly get a 3rd cortisone shot. Wow what a fun day for me!

Chilis

Isn't Travis talented? Chilis is doing a create a pepper coloring thing for childhood cancer and this is how Travis colored his. Can you tell he likes the Dodgers? I tried the honey-chipotle chicken crispers I have been craving them since.

Not much else is going on with us. We spent the weekend not doing anything since we have been busy lately. Actually jeremy ended up having to work saturday night and sunday night so we really couldn't do much. Hopefully he will be off this weekend so we can go do something.

Foot Update

See the red spot on my ankle? Well last Friday I got a second cortisone shot. It was numb for a good 5 hours or so and then the pain kicked in. This one hurt a lot more than the first one. It felt like I had just had surgery on it. It was not a fun afternoon for me and it continued into the weekend. Monday night I noticed that the injection site was red. I kind of forgot about it until Tuesday night when I saw that it was a bigger red spot and it was darker and hurt a lot. This morning I called the doctor and was told to come in right away. He thinks it could be a rash from the cold spray he uses or some of the cortisone leaked out and reacted with my skin. He called in a prescription for some cream to put on it and told me to call him on Friday. The good news is the shot is starting to work, the bad news is I keep getting a different side effect each time I get one! I may have one more shot next week and that it will be for a while. I'm just worried what new side effect I will have from that.
