This picture is of one of my best friends Denise. She is currently serving in Iraq and will be home sometime in 2009. I know that this is not an old picture but I just got it and wanted to share it. She is the girl in the center of the picture. I am trying to get a box together os stuff to send her. Anybody got any ideas of what is good to send?

what is that she's holding-a fishing pole? or a long antenna for her radio?
I know they need flea collars there for the sand fleas, they put them around their ankles.
there is probably on online site somewhere that would list things that they need and are safe to send-i'm sure they can always use any kind of personal stuff, tampons, chap stick, etc, maybe some current magazines to read.
Well my friend Jennie has had her husband in Iraq for 2 terms each being over a year and a half. I sent her an email and also googled what some good supplies are. You can send are powdered gatorade, cold brew tea bags (you can put them in camelpaks), wet wipes, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, eye drops, hard candies (soft will melt), homemade cookies (no chocolate chips -- as they will melt), gum, sunflower seeds and disposable razors & razor blades, coffee (but be careful of regulations).
But those were all the items that I found and that she reccomended. Good luck!
How about an airplane ticket back to the USA?
Hello all...
I saw my pic and I felt like a celeb! The picture was taken last week while on a foot patrol with the Iraqi Police in my area.
Jen..
Thanks for thinking of me. Anything you would like to send will be well received. If you need ideas, email my sis, I gave her some the other day.
Love and miss you lots
Denise
