Creedence Clearwater Revival!!!

I just found out that Creedence Clearwater Revival will be playing at the fair this year!!! This is the only concert I want to see. Any one else want to see them? They are playing on August 13th and the best part is all you do is pay to get into the fair and the concert is FREE!!!!

Ok so I didnt read right and it is Creedence Clearwater REVISITED. That totally sucks. However I still may go to it. I really DO NOT want to see Tony Orlando!! Thanks Aunt Heather for pointing this out to me.

Technology can be annoying!!

Last year Jeremy got me an ipod touch. He got a really good deal on it because he bought it from a friend who never used it, so it was practically brand new!! Today I had to reset the whole thing just so I could add more music to it. I only had about 50 songs on it but I had to purchase most of them so I was annoyed because they are now gone!! I am now going to email apple to see how to get them all back without having to pay for them again. No more purchasing songs directly on the ipod. I will now only do it on the computer so it keeps them in my library. The one good thing was all my games are still on it!! I did lose my movies too, but those were free so I am not to mad about those. Technology may be great but it can sure suck sometimes!!

Travis at the drive in

We took Travis to his first drive in movie on Saturday. We watched Toy Story 3. It was really good a little sad at the end but still good. Travis had a great time and asked about a billion questions before the movie started. Once the movie came on he didn't move for a long time, he told me later that he was to busy watching the movie. The best part of the night was when he told us he had a dollar to get in (kids are only a dollar) a dollar for nachos (his dad printed coupons for dollar nachos, yes one dollar for nachos!!) And a dollar just for the hell of it (yep that is what he said). I was laughing when he said that and he told me that's what his parents told him. I found out later that his dad told him that. Anyway he was such a good kid! He really wanted to stay for the second movie which was The Karate Kid but it was super late and he is going to see it tomorrow (today actually) with his parents and sister. We went ahead and paid for his ticket and nachos and then he spent his 3 dollars on frozen strawberry lemonade thing, he ate the whole thing even though he was cold. He really wanted that ice cream!!!! I do recommend watching Toy Story 3, especially if you enjoyed the first 2! Next movie we are seeing is The A-Team and we will watch Toy Story again at the theater in 3D!!

Movie Review and the long week ahead....

Friday night we went to the drive in and saw the new Karate Kid. It was a pretty good movie all though I still love the original. Jayden Smith (the cute littl boy whose dad is Will Smith) did such a good job and he was pretty funny. Jackie Chan was his usual self. What I didn't like was the whole learning karate part. The original had wax on and wax off, sand the floor, faint the fence and paint the house and this one had him taking his jacket on and off and picking it up off the floor and haning it on a hook, a little repetative and boring but it was a good movie. Of course you go to the drive in and get a double feature. The second movie was Prince of Persia. I was very tired so what I paid attention to seemed pretty good. I really wanted to watch The A-Team so we will now have to go watch that soon.

Now on to my long week ahead of me. Tomorrow (Monday) Theresa graduates Kindergarten!! I of course am going to miss it because I have to go to work but her parents are going to video tape it and take some pictures. On Thursday my sister graduates from Ventura High School!!! Now here is the weird part. I graduated on June 17th 1993 and Emily was almost 1. Now here she is graduated on June 17th 2010 and she is 17 years old and we graduated 17 years apart. See a pattern of 17 there?? I need to play the lottery and have 17 be my mega number! We will be at her graduation. My brother, Joseph is supposed to be there, which I really hope he makes it. Emily is even wearing a dress to her graduation. I had to help her find one on Saturday. We actually found a really cute one at Burlington for $20.00!!

Jeremy has been watching the show True Blood on HBO and found out that it was based on a series of books. So he decided to get me the first book to read and now I can't stop reading them. Right now there is 10 books in the series and I am on book number 7. I want to finish reading it so I can go onto the next one. I think once I finish these I am going to have to read them again while I am waiting for the next book to be released! At least I am reading instead of watching tv all day.

Hey you guys!!!!

Today is the 25th anniversary of The Goonies,m y favorite movie ever!!! Who didn't love watching Chunk do the Truffle Shuffle or Data use his Pinchers of Hell? In November they will be releasing the 25th anniversary collectors edition of The Goonies and yes I am going to buy it. I have watched my dvd so many times that I am sure it's going to break soon. I love getting lost in the fantasy world of searching for the pirates treasure. When I was a kid I used to want to have Goonie adventure just like in the movie. But I could never find a pirate map to follow. Some day I will find one and go hunting for buried treasure!!

Pig Mania

Does anyone else remember this game??? Leaning jowler, double jowler, razorback and double raxorback, makin bacon, pig out!! What a fun way to play a game where you get points for tossing pigs! It was introduced to me by my Aunt Heather when I was a kid. I love this game!! In fact I still have this game. I found out that they now have it for the ipod touch and the iphone, only its now called pass the pig. I downloaded it onto my ipod touch and I can't stop playing it, all though it is not as much fun as playing the actual game but it is a great way to waste time! I think it might be time to introduce Travis and Theresa to Pig Mania. They already love playing Apples to Apples, which is fun to play that with them once you figure out how their minds work. You have to think like them before you play your word because they don't always pick the words that you are "supposed" to pick. They seem to pick the weirdest ones! Apples to Apples is another great game that Aunt Heather introduced us to! She always finds the best games for us to play.

A Lime Green Monster

I saw this very pretty lime green truck today. The rims on the tires were even green. But the best part was the fuzzy gree tow hitch cover! Yep I need to get me one of those.

Boggle and kids

Here is Travis with the Boggle cibe thing. He found his name in here twice! The best part is this is the NEW boggle that has all the blocks inside a covered area and you CAN NOT remove them and cheat. Can you spot his name twice?

Theresa had some interesting things happen while playing boggle also. She was playing with her brother and was telling him what words she found and she kept saying "tit" now I heard her saw it but thought I was hearing things and that she was really saying "tip" and then she spelled it out and I didn't know how to react. I finally told her dad to explain that word. Of course he being like Calvin's dad he tells her something about it being a slang word in England. Theresa looks up and says "I know that why I wrote it in english"!!! Where does a 6 year old come up with this stuff???
